Babasaheb Deshmukh Parwekar Mahavidyalaya, Parwa was established under Parwa Education Society ,Parwa in the academic year 2001-2002. The college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati, and is on 100% grant. It is granted by Maharashtra Government.
Ours is single faculty college. There are three classes B.A.I, B.AII. and B.A.III. Every classes comprises of single section with 120 students. Total 14 employees are working in the college out of which 7 are the teachers and the 07 non-teaching staff members.

It is only institution of higher education, provides quality education to the students of rural area. Location of the college is unique that it is 20km and 60km away from taluka and district headquarter respectively. Secondly the boundary of Telangana state is just 1km from this place. Parwa Shikshan Sanstha facilitated the education upto 12th standard at Parwa but for the higher education students used to go near by towns which was a quite impossible for them. It was difficult for girls students to go for higher education, so there was a need to have college in this area which was fulfilled by establishing Babasaheb Deshmukh Parwekar Mahavidyalaya in August 2001 at Parwa. There are more number of girl students since the establishment of the college.If this college does not exist all the girl students were sidelined from the higher education.
